Abstract: The paper examines the impact of social media on contemporary translation practice. The author analyzes how digital platforms are transforming the translator’s role, creating new challenges and opportunities for real-time translation, crowdsourced translation, and translation within the context of multimodal and intercultural communication. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between social media users and translators, the emergence of new content formats, and the role of AI in language processing. The study highlights the need to adapt translation strategies to the dynamic online environment.
